Project Overview
Epic’s Verona headquarters uses a large geothermal network to move energy among buildings, campus plants, borefields and pond loops. The campus approach makes the interaction between heating, cooling and building operation central to long-term efficiency.
The Challenge
A large campus can need heating in some buildings while others require cooling. Coordinating those demands across seasons and changing occupancy requires equipment and controls that work together, while air handling and humidification maintain suitable indoor conditions.
Masters Solution
Masters supplied Haakon custom air handling units, Multistack geothermal chillers and MeeFog atomizing humidifiers, with Masters Alerton controls. The air handlers and humidifiers address indoor air delivery and moisture needs, while the chillers support geothermal heating and cooling. Masters Controls’ ongoing involvement in campus operation connects those systems with building-level control and operating insight. This combination supports coordination of comfort and energy use across a campus where heating and cooling demands vary throughout the year.
