Project Overview
The Lincoln Academy in Beloit combines early learning through high school with collaboration areas and hands-on programs such as welding, woodworking, agriculture and STEM. Flexible classroom layouts and a broad range of activities create varied building-conditioning needs.
The Challenge
General classrooms and technical learning spaces require different approaches to comfort and ventilation. Zoning is important as activities and occupancy change, while HVAC sound must be considered in spaces intended for instruction and concentration.
Masters Solution
Masters supplied Daikin split system equipment, Daikin VRF equipment, AAON RQ rooftop units, AAON RN rooftop units and Vibro-Acoustics silencers. The split-system and variable-refrigerant-flow equipment provide options for local and zoned conditioning, while the rooftop units address packaged air-conditioning needs. The silencers address mechanical sound in the air-distribution system. Together, the package connects comfort, zoning and acoustics to the school’s varied learning environments, with operation matched to the needs of the spaces served.
